Google tells us that consent is the permission for something to happen or agreement to do something. It is estimated the average human makes about 35,000 conscious decisions each day. Of those decisions, many are decisions involving consent. This is such an important aspect of our lives, yet few people have a comprehensive understanding of consent.
In this class, we will take a deep dive into consent. We will look at the common models of consent, when it can and cannot be given and received, and what role we play in consent. In addition, we will cover the different types of situations where consent is not honored and how those situations differ.
