Jason Hernandez, MSW

(they/he)

Virtual and In Person Clinician

Hello and welcome! I’m Jason Hernandez (they/he), and I’m a therapist with a heart for social justice. With a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia, my approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Psychodynamic practices, grounded in Attachment Theory.

I see therapy as a transformative tool that not only offers insight, it empowers personal growth. It’s my mission to help people identify and activate their values to guide their therapeutic journey. My areas of expertise include religious deconstruction, trauma healing, and identity development. I’m also dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive space for LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent individuals—a place where everyone can feel seen, heard, and valued.

In my practice, I’m deeply passionate about supporting the richness of human connections. This includes working with polyamorous and consensually non-monogamous relationships, as well as people within the kink and BDSM communities. I strive to create a welcoming and affirming space where all forms of relationships and personal expressions are respected and celebrated. Understanding the unique challenges and joys that come with these lifestyles, I’m committed to guiding my clients through their journey with empathy, openness, and a deep respect for their chosen paths.

Outside of my work in therapy, you'll often find me enjoying a variety of activities that bring joy and balance to my life. I find joy in being immersed in music, either by playing the euphonium with a local wind ensemble, attending musicals, or a night out of dancing with friends. I’m always excited to dive into the immersive worlds of video games, whether they're adventurous, action-packed, or filled with puzzles. I also enjoy the strategic challenges of games like Dungeons and Dragons or Magic: the Gathering. Recently, I’ve been exploring the calming benefits of yoga and finding ways to incorporate it into my routine. And when it's time to unwind, there's nothing like a bit of light glamping to reconnect with nature and recharge. These hobbies not only bring me happiness but also help me stay grounded and refreshed, ready to bring my best self to my work with clients.

Are you ready to take the next step towards a brighter, more fulfilling life? Let's journey together, aligning your actions with your deepest values and moving confidently towards the life you envision.

My session fee is $125 for individuals and $150 for relationship counseling.
