In honor of World AIDS Day…

I picked up my first dose of PrEP today.

In case you didn't know, PrEP is now free on all ACA Compliant Healthcare Plans. While there are still some issues with companies charging for blood work, asking your doctor to code it as preventative labs will remove that cost.

I play with all kinds of folks. I spend a great deal of time in the bodymod world with sharp things and blood. I have ADHD and universal precautions are hard because impulsivity means I may reach out to help someone without considering the risk of my action.

We can all take on a piece of the responsibility to reduce the risk of HIV transmission. It's not just the responsibility of gay men.
